Marcel Mangan

Marcel is a junior majoring in ACMS and Mathematics. On campus, he lives in St. Edward’s Hall, but he is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is excited to bring his extensive community service and policy research experience to the department to connect more meaningfully with South Bend. As Service Commissioner for his hall, he organizes weekly service events for his dormmates as well as volunteers himself at Practical Resale and the Center for the Homeless in South Bend. Furthermore, he has been a dedicated team member of the Student Policy Network’s South Bend Education Project for the past three semesters, helping co-author white papers on public school enrollment and AI’s applicability to special education programs for the South Bend Community School Corporation. Additionally, Marcel is a fundraising prodigy; he led a 32-person campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in high school and raised 214,000 in 7 weeks! As for his hobbies, he enjoys dance and baseball.
