Meilin Scanish

Meilin is a senior History and International Peace Studies major originally from Lexington, Kentucky, though her home at Notre Dame was Howard Hall (go ducks!) until she moved off campus this year. She has been an engaged member of Notre Dame's community over these last three years, having worked in Student Government in both Student Union Board and the Department of Student Empowerment as well as been an active member of Fighting Irish Media, Howard Hall Liturgical Choir, and End Hate @ ND. Her junior year, she interned in Washington DC as a part of the Washington Program and then studied abroad in Paris, France at Sciences Po. Outside of class, Meilin has served as a Domestic Violence Liaison in Washington DC, interned with the Special Victims Unit of the St. Joseph County Prosecutor, volunteered at the Job Training and Education Center at the South Bend Center for the Homeless, and researched intersectional religious peacebuilding with the Kroc Institute. She's excited to be working in Student Government again this year and is always happy to chat!
