Fritz Schemel is a senior political science major originally from Westport, Connecticut. He has minors in Business Economics and Constitutional Studies. On campus, he called Dunne Hall home for three years before moving off campus for his senior year. He has previously served as the Director of Community Engagement and Outreach for Student Government in the McGavick-Gayheart administration, and was a FUELer and member of Junior Class Council. Outside of student government, he has participated in the ND Washington Program, studied abroad in Russia, and interned for a congressional campaign in South Bend. He has also been a dorm liaison for ND Votes. He enjoys scrolling through political news on Twitter, hiking (preferably in Acadia National Park), and randomly exploring Google Maps. Fritz believes student government can be a powerful vessel for change on campus, and is excited to bring that spirit of change into his leadership of FUEL.
