National Suicide Prevention Week and Prayer Service

National Suicide Prevention Week (9/5 - 9/11) is an annual week-long campaign in the United States to inform about and engage on suicide prevention. The Department of Health and Well-Being, the Department of Faith and Service, and Active Minds have collaborated to plan a Suicide Healing and Memorial Prayer Service on Tuesday, September 7th at 8pm at the Grotto. We invite you to bring pictures of loved ones lost to place on a memorial as we enter into a space of healing and remembrance as a community that evening to carry through the entire week.

First Undergraduate Experience in Leadership (FUEL) Application is due on September 10th at 11:59 p.m.

FUEL is an opportunity for first year students to develop their leadership skills and network with current student leaders while working on meaningful projects. Apply here to join Student Government.

  • Brooke Norton Lais ‘02 (the first female-identifying student body president, former chief marketing officer for greendot corporation, and current chief marketing officer for Avinew)

  • Lizzie Shappell ‘07 (VP ‘05-’06 and President 06’-’07, the press secretary for the Office of Chuck Schumer, currently in communications for Portland General Electric)
