Congress to Discuss Student Loans

Yesterday, 120 student body presidents, representing over one million students signed to voice their concern about rising interest rates on student loans. The advocating letter was delivered to over 300 House and Senate offices and in total sent to every House and Senate office on Capitol Hill. 

The letter officially calls on Congress to find a permanent solution to the student debt crisis before student government loans are doubled July 1st.  

Reports by the Huffington Post, ABC, Politico, and Fox News on perseverance of student body leaders has given this campaign national coverage and propelled the movement forward into relevancy.

On the Hill yesterday, Minority Leader Pelosi hosted a press conference that featured the effort.  Both Democrats and Republicans have taken on this issue, receiving much bipartisan interest.
