Campus Technology Committee
Committee Mission
In 2008, the Notre Dame Student Senate create the Campus Technology Committee in order to address the growing need for a student voice on affiars related to technologies at Notre Dame. The Campus Technology Committee serves as a liason between students and the Office of Information Technology, Notre Dame Web Group, and other entities related to the development of technologies on campus. The Campus Technology Committee focuses on the following:
- The improvement of existing services in order to support the ever-growing technological needs of students.
- The development and implementation of new technologies in order to improve quality of life for Notre Dame students.
- The centralization of the resources of various campus entities in order to achieve the goals voiced by Notre Dame students and the Student Senate.
Notable Achievements
The following initiatives were pursued by the Campus Technology Committee. Of course, none of this could have been accomplished without the support and efforts of the Student Senate, the Office of Information Technology, Web Group, other various campus entities, and the student body of Notre Dame.
- Implementation and promotion of Gmail and Google Apps for all students. (Fall 2008)
- Revised InsideND. (Spring 2009)
- Internet access provided for dining halls. (Summer 2009)
- Printers for all campus dorms. (Summer 2009)
Future Initiatives
Throughout the year, the Campus Technology Committee pursues initiatives voiced by Notre Dame students and the Student Senate. Initiatives vary in size, scope, and priority. The Campus Technology Committee pursues these initiatives, while constantly assessing its progress and effectiveness. For this very reason, the folloing initiatives are constantly being revised and changed throughout the year.
- Centralized and revision of agenda.nd.edu and other campus calendars.
- Development and launch of iTunesU
- Online course registration system revision.
- Off-campus housing database.
- Centralized mobile development including iPhone application, improved wirless reception, and mobile.nd.edu
- Revision and development of the Current Student web page on nd.edu

- Student Senate: Every Wednesday at 6 pm in the Notre Dame Room in LaFortune
- Campus Technology Committee: Every Sunday at 3 pm in the Student Government Office
- Campus Technology Office Hours: Every Wednesday from 3 to 5 pm and Sundays from 1 to 3 pm in the Student Government Office
